The Brenham is built from Stetson's 4X-quality wool felt — a hat that holds a clean shape at a price well below the fur felt lines, touched by more than 100 sets of hands at the Stetson factory in Texas. Straw hats use the X letter for something different, where it measures how fine and tight the weave is, so the numbers don't compare across materials.

This edition carries the 7242 profile: a 4¼-inch low cattleman crown with a 4¼-inch medium-curve brim — a lower, more modern silhouette than the taller classics.
