Yes. It is George Strait's line with Resistol, the Texas hatmaker based in Garland. The Colt carries a silver signature pendant on the hatband and the Ranch Road a metal pick at the back of its band — the details that mark them as part of the collection.
What is the George Strait hat shape?
The cattleman crease: three creases along the top of a medium crown and a 4 to 4 1/4-inch brim with an even, gentle curl. The Ranch Road, Sonora and Colt come creased that way from the factory. If you want that shape on another felt, we shape it for you the day you buy it.
Felt or straw — which should I pick?
Felt (Ranch Road, Sonora) is the cool-weather and dress hat; straw (Colt, Hazer, Kingman) is for the Texas heat — shantung panama bodies, and the Hazer and Kingman with vented crowns.
