RDR Cowboy Hat 30X Natural Vented Straw C28

An open-weave straw, built for heat. The crown on model C28 is woven with vent patterns cut right into the body, so the hat breathes in a way a closed weave never will — the difference you feel standing in the sun in July rather than walking between air-conditioned rooms.

On straw the X grade describes the weave rather than the fiber content, and at 30X the body stays firm enough to hold a clean crown and a straight brim edge even with the venting. The brim measures 4 1/4". The hatband is horse hair, braided rather than cut from leather, which is the detail that sets this one apart on the rack. Made in Mexico.
