Where can I buy a Stetson hat in Dallas?

At Teres Western Wear, 8033 Lake June Rd, Dallas, TX 75217 — a family western store since 1986. Everything on this page is on the shelf; we sell in store only, so you can put it on, check the fit in the mirror and leave with it the same day. Call (214) 391-0508 to confirm a model and size before you drive over.

What do 4X, 6X, 10X, 30X and 100X mean on a Stetson?

On felt, the X rating tracks how much fur is in the blend: 4X is wool, 6X is fur felt, and the Premier hats (10X, 30X, 100X) use beaver-blend felt that gets lighter, finer and more weather-resistant as the number climbs. On straw the X describes the weave, not fur, so a 10X straw and a 6X felt are not on the same scale. Our X-rating guide goes model by model.

Felt or straw — which Stetson should I pick?

Felt is the dress and cool-weather hat, and the one most customers wear from October through spring. Straw is for the Dallas summer: lighter, vented and easier to live with in the heat. Plenty of customers keep one of each.

Do you shape and clean Stetson hats?

Yes. When you buy a felt Stetson here we shape the crown and brim to your liking that same day at no charge. We also clean and reshape felt hats you already own — bring it in and ask at the counter.
