Open-laced chukka, moc toe, ankle-high. The SD footbed is removable, wicks moisture, resists odor-causing bacteria, and goes in the washing machine. Under it, a composite XD insole handles support and stability. The outsole is slip-resistant molded rubber, so the color ends up being the only risky thing about the shoe. EE wide last throughout.
