Black and Blue is the original PBR cologne and still the most classically built one — a proper fougère structure rather than a novelty scent, which is why it has outlasted the rest of the line.
Citrus, sage, and lavender open it clean and a little sharp. The middle is where it separates from the newer PBR releases: jasmine and orange flower bring an actual floral heart, softened by pepper so it never reads sweet or feminine. Sandalwood, moss, and patchouli close it out dry and earthy. The result is a scent that works in more places than most Western colognes — it is not loud, it does not announce a theme, and it holds up at an office or a dinner as easily as at a rodeo. If you want one bottle that covers everything, this is the one in the line.
