Wool felt is the workhorse of Western hats: it holds shape well under normal conditions, takes a crease, and costs a fraction of fur felt, which is exactly why most people own a wool hat for daily wear and a fur felt hat for occasions. The traditional cattleman crown is creased down the center with a dent on each side, the most versatile Western profile there is. Pecan is a warm mid-brown that pairs with almost any boot and hides dust better than lighter shades.
