The steel toe is rated I75/C75. In plain terms: it withstands 75 foot-pounds of impact — roughly a 50-pound object dropped from 18 inches — and 2,500 pounds of static compression. That's the top tier of ASTM protection, the rating you need if things get dropped or rolled where you work.

It also carries an electrical hazard rating. The nail-free construction insulates you from the ground to slow conduction — worth understanding correctly: it's a secondary safeguard, not primary protection against electric shock, and it only works while the leather is dry.

A Durango waterproof membrane keeps feet dry behind a soft mesh lining. The dual-density midsole is firmer at the heel for shock absorption and stability, softer at the forepart for flexibility. A fiberglass shank plus an anti-torsion rigid external shank add lateral support on uneven ground, and the rolled shank area accommodates stirrups. The multi-durometer rubber outsole pairs high-abrasion outer lugs for durability with softer mid lugs for flexibility and resistance to slip, oil and heat. Double row sole stitching finishes the construction.
