ARIAT WorkHog Wide Square Toe Steel Toe Work Boot - 10006961

The WorkHog Wide Square Toe in Dark Earth and Brick — a dark brown full-grain leather foot under a brick-red shaft with six-row western stitching. It's the classic of the line: steel toe, eleven-inch shaft, built for the jobsite.

The steel toe carries an ASTM F2413-18 M/I/C rating for impact and compression, with electrical hazard protection on top of it. ATS Max is the platform underneath: an extra-wide midfoot support that spreads pressure sideways rather than concentrating it, which is what keeps the ankle from fatiguing on uneven ground through a twelve-hour day. Goodyear welt construction means the boot can be resoled rather than replaced. The Duratread sole resists oil and slipping, holds to 300°C, and uses a non-tracking tread that doesn't carry the jobsite into your truck.

The patented U-Turn Entry System is worth knowing about if you have a high arch — the opening flexes to let the foot through instead of fighting it, which is the usual complaint with pull-on work boots. Six-row western stitch, wide square toe, 90-degree heel for ladder work.
