The CC221-L is crafted from genuine stingray leather, a material historically used for samurai sword grips precisely because of its extraordinary durability — the calcified dermal denticles that give stingray its distinctive pebbled surface make it exceptionally resistant to scuffing, tearing, and wear. Most stingray hides feature a natural pale marking near the center known as the "pearl" or "eye," a hallmark of authenticity. The black finish creates striking contrast against the raised texture, producing a subtle shimmer under direct light. Traditional Western construction joins the exotic vamp to the leather shaft with precise stitching throughout. The leather sole is reinforced for durability and stable footing. Full leather lining and cushioned insole provide breathable comfort across long wear. The EE width offers generous room across the ball of the foot, and the size range extends through 11.
