Tanner Mark Classic Cognac Sawyer - TM201706
The Sawyer is the Leon's warmer sibling — same embossed saddle stamp across the vamp, same construction underneath, finished in classic cognac with a marble brandy top instead of black on black. Cognac is the more versatile of the two: it pairs with brown belts, brown hatbands and lighter denim in a way black can't.
The saddle stamp is the tooling pattern traditionally worked into Western saddles, pressed into embossed cowhide across the foot. It references saddlery rather than exotic leather, which gives the boot a working-cowboy authenticity that a printed exotic doesn't have. The marble brandy shaft adds tonal depth above it.
Comfort cushion insoles make it wearable through a full day. The 302 square toe is Tanner Mark's own last, giving generous room across the toes. A leather sole in natural finish delivers the traditional Western feel and can be resoled by any bootmaker.
The ¾ double-stitched welt is what separates this from cheaper construction — two rows of stitching joining upper to sole rather than one, which outlasts a single-stitched welt by a wide margin.
The same boot in classic black is the Leon, style TM201708.
