Caiman hornback print gives this boot the most dramatic texture in the Tanner Mark lineup. Hornback refers to the ridged spine section of the hide — the row of raised bony scales running down a caiman's back — and it's the most visually striking part of the animal, which is why hornback boots command attention that belly-cut caiman doesn't.
This is the print version, so you get that unmistakable ridged pattern at a fraction of what genuine hornback would run. The pattern is embossed into the leather so it holds its dimension rather than wearing off. Classic brown with a marble brown top.
The marble brown shaft is finished with brown and white stitching work across its length, a contrast detail that draws the eye up from the vamp. A leather outsole delivers the traditional Western feel underfoot and can be resoled by any bootmaker when it wears through. Square toe construction gives generous room across the toes. The Stockman heel at 1¼ inches is low enough for comfortable walking and shaped to sit securely in a stirrup. The 13-inch shaft gives full traditional Western coverage.
